Wallpaper Text

After some time, I decided that I'd like to do a different take to my original wallapaper. I think it would be better for me to do a silhouette effect for my wallpaper. It gives a better feeling of the brightness of the bonfire and the fireworks against the darkness of the night surroundings.

So I decided to change the text of my wallpaper, I thought it should have some sort of fire effect to the text to further emphasize the bonfire. First I opened up a new file, the size A4.

Using the Paint Bucket Tool, I changed the background from white to black

Then I typed in the text that I want using Text tool, making sure that I changed the colour of the text to white so it doesn't blend in with the background

Then I used clicked on Filter > Gaussian Blur to soften the edges and pressed Command + E to merge the layers together

Then using the Smudge tool, I smudged the text so the text gives off a flame effect

Then I duplicate the layer and pressed Command + U to change the hue/saturation of each of the layers

Then I applied linear dodge to my top layer so it gives off the desired effect

So that's how I created the text for my wallpaper :)
